SOFTWARE

Our students and staff have come up with several pieces of useful or fun software, so we have made them available for the general public to download and use.

Name Platform Description
Sheet Calculator Java Never found a calculator that you liked? This novel approach may be the solution you have always been looking for.
Web Sluper Java Frustrated with slow browsing time? Want to browse offline? The Web Sluper will download web pages into your computer for offline browsing.
Game Framework Java This is a framework for building multi-player networked board games. The framework takes care of the nitty-gritty of making things work together, leaving you to be free to only concern yourself with the actual game design. It comes with several games as examples.
Multi-login Yahoo! Messenger client Java Do you have more than 100 friends? Yahoo! Messenger, which is very popular among our students, restricts you to having only 100 contacts at once. This Yahoo! Messenger client allows you to log in more than one Yahoo! ID at once, hence effectively being able to have more than 100 contacts at once.
GraceAmp Wintel Do you want to encode MP3s without having to buy an expensive piece of software? This program lets you do that. With it, you can convert WAV files to MP3 as well as "rip" them directly from a CD. You can also "rip" from a CD into a WAV file.
FK Smith-Plot Wintel FK Smith-Plot is a Smith Chart plotting tool. You can observe an impedance value on a Smith Chart. It is particularly useful for studying transmission line and general microwave engineering. You can also use the software to perform graphical based impedance transformation.
VSM Wintel LINUX VSM is a simple stack machine simulator for use in undergraduate Compiler Construction courses.
Boolean Function Classification MS Office 97 Boolean Function Classification is a masters level research performed to explore the possibility of classifying Boolean function by means of matrix multiplication. This software will be of particular interest to those who have read the author's thesis, Pattern Detection Approach to Boolean Function Classification which may be requested from CRPP.
