In recent years, the progress made in development of high-speed, inexpensive computers and their interconnection has brought about the explosive growth of the Internet. This, together with other developments, e.g. in mobile communications, have resulted in a continuous increase in demand for higher bandwidth, more secure and reliable systems, innovative product design, etc. These factors continually drive the advances in telecommunication technology and the rapid changes in the industry.
Technical Technical advances occur so rapidly that it is very difficult for most engineers to stay current with all developments in this field. At the Faculty of Engineering, Multimedia University, we fully understand the needs of engineers and what is expected of them in the industry. Our academic staffs are specialists in different areas of telecommunications and have extensive experience in industrial collaboration. In the Master of Engineering in Telecommunications, we do not just offer an academic programme; instead, it is a programme that has been carefully planned and formulated in conjunction with companies such as Alcatel, Lucent Technologies, NTT, etc. for engineers who wish to upgrade and update themselves in telecommunications.
